SAN RAFAEL, CA — The fairgrounds will be abuzz later this month as the Marin County Electrification Career Fair gets underway, bringing students and jobseekers an opportunity to learn about jobs in renewable and clean energy, electric vehicles and home electrification.

“We’re excited to bring this opportunity to Marin County,” said Dana Armanino, the Marin County Sustainability Team’s planning manager. “If we are going to achieve our climate goals we will need to expand the electrification workforce, and this is a great first step.”

The free event will kick off Sept. 14 inside the Exhibit Hall behind Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium. Organizers will provide food and child care, and the career fair will help connect visitors with resources and potential on-site interviews. Live workshops will share pointers for succeeding in interviews, building out resumes for electrification jobs, and other ways to succeed in the trade.

Local organizations participating in the career fair include John Owns Services, Canal Alliance, The LIME Foundation, Tradeswomen Inc., California Jobs First and IBEW Local 551.
