Laura Jiménez-Diecks Joins Board of Directors of NAMI Marin

As of December 9, 2023, Laura Jiménez-Diecks, Health Supervisor at Canal Alliance, is a proud member of the board of directors of NAMI Marin County. We are excited for this development, as Canal Alliance’s relationship with NAMI Marin is an integral — and growing — part of the work we do to support mental health for our clients, community, and their family members.

Canal Alliance now runs a family support group with NAMI Marin’s backing, and their financial support allows us to offer these sessions, led by certified peer facilitators, each week. Laura, excited about her new role, feels that joining the NAMI board will go a long way toward raising more awareness around mental health issues and continuing to grow our support for the behavioral health challenges most prevalent here in the Canal community that we serve.
