When Trust Becomes Community: Stories from the VITA Program

At Canal Alliance, tax preparation is about more than just paperwork. Their stories remind us that when services are free, personal, and in our language, they can transform lives.

This impact is made possible thanks to the generous support of United Way of the Bay Area for the VITA tax program at Canal Alliance. We were pleased to have been awarded $30,000 to help support our community. With the invaluable partnership of United Way of the Bay Area and their wonderful program, we were able to assist over 708 clients in filing their taxes this year—providing financial education and support to families in the Canal.
