Join us in making the NCNF Community Fair a success!
This is the 3rd Community Fair hosted by Nuestro Canal Nuestro Futuro, an event created to focus on homing in Canal residents’ vision for the Canal’s future while engaging with community members on the issues that matter the most and sharing valuable present-day resources. Community fairs usually require a lot of planning and support, there are many stations that will be available such as a sea level rise station, an art station, NCNF station, and many more. Volunteers are essential to running activity stations, assisting attendees, and ensuring everything flows smoothly. Whether you can lend an hour or the whole day, your support will help make this fair a meaningful space for connection, learning and collective visioning for the Canal neighborhood.

1. Fair Ambassador (11am – 2pm shift) – Spanish Required

Purpose:
The fair ambassador will be guests first point of contact, welcoming them to the fair and providing all necessary logistical information to ensure guests are prepared to flow through the stations, receive their stamps for food, and answer general event questions. Fair ambassadors will assist in managing the movement and coordination of people, ensuring smooth operations, and minimizing disruptions. The fair ambassadors will ensure to disperse crowds to lower wait times for specific stations and encourage guests to attend zones that may be emptier at the moment.

Direct people to emptier zones when lines accumulate, offering guidance and encouraging attendees to visit other stations in the meantime. This volunteer may also help organize food lines and direct guests to seating areas.
