COMMUNITY RESILIENCY TEAM

Canal Alliance facilitates a coalition of nonprofit and government partners who work to support the health, wellbeing, and resiliency of San Rafael residents. Our Spanish-speaking promotores (ambassadors) use their knowledge and relationships to make sure important information is shared with you in ways that are accessible and effective. 

Safety in Emergencies 

• We help families learn how to prepare for disasters, from earthquakes to flooding and sea-level rise. 
• We offer trainings in CPR, first aid, and emergency response help save lives. 
• We provide immigration-related “Know Your Rights” sessions to give families peace of mind during crises.
  
  

Health and Wellbeing 

• We provide free overdose prevention resources, including Narcan and fentanyl test strips, are saving lives. 
• We ensure easy access to Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and other public benefits to help you and your family stay healthy and secure. 
• We provide mental health education and support groups (with NAMI) reduce stigma and connect people to care.
  
  

By strengthening knowledge, building trust, and expanding access to resources, the San Rafael CRT ensures that everyone in our community has the tools to protect yourselves, your families, and your neighbors.
