Girls Speak Out
Girls Speak Out is composed of 13 middle school girls from Davidson Middle School. This year we are focusing on building self-esteem and healthy, positive relationships. The girls are encouraged to talk through things that are bothering them and to support one another.
Boys Group
Boys Group is where boys become men. We learn from each other. Each student brings his unique perspective on what it means to be a boy beginning his teenage years, to be a human being in this rapidly changing world. Our focus is on enjoying ourselves. We start the night with a big dinner, generously provided by our program families. During dinner, we check in on current events in the news, and current events in our lives. We use each other as sounding boards for our ideas and opinions as we try to better our understanding of the world around us. We learn how to be good friends to one another and support each other in our successes, and in our hard times.
We become a team.We do community service projects in the community like Community Clean-Up Day and a Recycling Fundraiser to send money to the people in Haiti following the catastrophic earthquake there. We build model cars, talk about sex, ride bikes through the woods, and enjoy the precious childhoods we have.
