We provide business development training and organizational support to help grow three community-based cooperatives. This will be done in conjunction with an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. These coops consist of a five-member catering cooperative that caters 10-12 events per month through a rotating work schedule, Artesanas del Canal, a five-member handicrafts cooperative that sells winter wear and reusable shopping bags, and Canal Community Recyclers who provide green recycling services to local multi-family apartment buildings using industrial tricycles.
