Canal Alliance

Every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 11:00-1:00, we open our on site food bank to our community. You will help unload the truck, sort the items (usually consisting of breads, grains, fruits, juices, vegetables, milk, and canned goods), stock our shelves, assemble different packages of food, and then help us distribute the food to the community members that come to our doors for such assistance.

There is usually a flurry of activity in our waiting area during this time. We usually have very little left over. This would be a fun experience for your group, and an excellent way to witness how our organization has a direct impact on our community by providing a basic need.  This project is recommended for 3-5 people.
