On Tuesday, April 12, during National Volunteer Week, Canal Alliance held our 2011 Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at the Marin Power Squadron Center in Novato. In attendance were ongoing volunteers, members of our Board of Directors, staff, and guests. A fantastic dinner of spinach salad, chile rellenos, pupusas, frijoles, rice, and flan was prepared by the Cooperative de Comida “El Canal”. All of the attending volunteers received a Certificate of Appreciation and a reusable Canal Alliance bag.
Some of our more lucky volunteers walked away with fantastic door prizes! A BIG thanks goes out to the following local businesses for their support of our volunteers and our organization.
