Canal Alliance’s Youth Scholarship Program (YSP) is a comprehensive out-of-school education program that provides low-income, mostly Latino immigrant, youth who are academically at-risk with the support and skills they need to overcome root barriers to educational success and self-sufficiency. YSP works toward this goal through a unique combination of academic training, leadership development, parent engagement and family case management.
We begin working with students and their families at the middle school level and continue until they graduate from high school, at which point our College Support Program offers additional guidance, support and financial assistance.
