Canal Alliance

Canal Alliance hosts an open computer lab on Thursday nights staffed by a Spanish bilingual volunteer. Attendees use the computers to prepare their resumes, receive job-search assistance, and communicate with friends and family.

Since 2000, Canal Alliance has placed 300+ high-quality, reconditioned computers in the homes of Canal Alliance program participants. We partner with a local computer refurbisher, Renew Computers in San Rafael, that provides both the refurbished computers and technical support, if needed.

Take our Technology Training in Spanish and Canal Alliance will pay half the cost of a Renew Computer refurbished computer. This program enables students to have a computer at home to practice the skills they are learning in class.

To purchase a computer without taking our Technology Training, print the following form and take it to Renew Computers. For $175 you will receive a refurbished computer with Open Office other software installed that we use in our trainings.
