Born in Mexico, Gabby Aragon came to the U.S. with her parents and two brothers and sister when she was 3. Gabby Aragon was six years old when her parents enrolled her in Canal Alliance's after-school programs. Little did she know that this step would shape her future for many years to come.

DJ Gabby, superstar Dj and family advocate |
At our after-school program, Gabby learned hip-hop
dancing and baton twirling, wowing parents at class performances from a
make-shift stage. She continued her interest in performing, playing clarinet,
and joining the Steel Drum Band and KSRH 88.1 at San Rafael High School.
Gabby now has a one-hour mixed-music show on Canal Alliance's Radio Canal
youth program. She also runs her own DJ company, Aragon Entertainment, with
her Dad, brothers and Felipe Tapia. She is the only female DJ in San Rafael
and works almost every weekend at local dances and private parties around
the Bay Area.
Gabby is also a 20-year-old College of Marin student and works
for Canal Alliance as a Family Advocate, assisting our clients and working
with the Chicas peer support group for young women.
“Every morning I wake
up and think about going to work and I get excited about it,” Gabby says.
“I don't fear this new position. With help from my co-workers, I prepared
myself for it. My dad, Flavio Jimenez is really thankful for this opportunity
for me.” Aragon Entertainment can be reached at (415) 299-9383.
