On September 13, 2012, nearly 300 guests gathered at the Osher Jewish Community Center in San Rafael, California to honor three decades of Canal Alliance's service to the immigrant community of Marin County. The tastefully decorated venue welcomed guests to circulate from check-in, to the photographers taking individual commemorative guest photos, to the silent auction rooms featuring a delightful range of items, including novels signed by Isabel Allende and international vacations. Guests mingled over drinks while bidding. At the silent auction's close, guests entered the colorful dining hall to the sounds of musicians. Guests enjoyed a delicious, family-style, three course meal during the awards presentations recognizing ForWords, Gail & Larry Siegel and St. Marks's School, Rosa Felix, and Tom Wilson. The event concluded with a live auction. Canal Alliance met its fundraising goals, and the event was nothing short of a success!!
